Ana Lucia Cortez: is the leader of the tail section survivors and ex-cop with many past traumas. Before the island, she was shot which resulted in the death of her unborn child. She later kills her attacker outside of a bar. Ana Lucia is strong-willed, stubborn, and brave.
Eko Tunde: was a notorious warlord and drug smuggler in Nigeria. When his brother Yemi, a priest, was killed, Eko took his place in the church. Eko is now a devout Catholic priest and is also very good with nature. He is very similar to John Locke's character.
Elizabeth (Libby) Smith: was a clinical psychologist who had a short lived relationship with Hurley before her death. She was a competent and caring support figure, but was always reserved about her own life.
Bernard Nadler: is the husband of Rose and is very determined to be fixing or helping something, very much like Jack.
